Stunning beaches! We drove from Morro Jable to explore the beach at Sotavento. It only took around 10 to 15 minutes in the car and was well worth the effort. Beautiful sands, clear waters, tiny fish swimming around your feet and gorgeous views. Although popular with locals and tourists, we did not feel it was too crowded.

Great Beach. Stunning wilderness with mile after mile of unspoiled coast. A large contingent of kite and windsurfers. Therefore it is windy. A sandbar sirts off the beach between a lagune and the Atlantic. A great walk that can be achieved by anyone willing to walk out. Water in the lagune is below knee level and the sand bar is easy to reach.

To reach Playa Sotavento de Jandia by car, we recommend the easiest access point: Risco El Paso. It is well signposted from Fuerteventura's main road, called FV-2. From the town of Costa Calma, follow the signs for Morro Jable, then Puerto del Rosario. The road is paved all the way to the parking lot and easily passable.
